Backdoor yard light.

Today (11/21/2016) I decided that I was going to fix the back door yard light. So I took it down, found that'd been overheated but I sanded it down and smooth it out and put a screw and nut on the back of the socket so I'd be able to tighten the bulb up. Now I'm putting some Loctite on it and I will put a second nut on there to hold it tight.

Dollar Store light fixture in the dining room.

So few days ago Michelle brought home a light fixture from the dollar store. Sooo... like this fixture for $1.00, what's the catch? On the front of the box it says save $47!!! in energy costs and bulb included lasts 9 years. So I look a little closer at the bulb, and instead of having a medium base (screw in) it has two prongs sticking out of the bottom of it. Never seen one like this before.
So after looking the fixture over I realized that it really is a pretty good-looking fixture. The globe is made out of glass and and everything else seems pretty well made. Only problem that I can see is that I don't know whether I will be able to replace the bulb or not.
Not to worry. I told my wife if I'm going to put this Oddball fixture in what I need to do is spend ten bucks and buy 10 more of them that way I'll always have a replacement bulb, especially if they last 10 years.

So I went to the store and picked up five more just like it, after all if they last ten years each, it should take me into my hundreds. And... Elise said she needs a couple Globes replaced at her house... so maybe the spare parts will come in really handy.

Adjusting the photo sensor yard light.

So I came home the other night and found that the photosensor light was staying on all the time. I turned the sensitivity down and here are a couple photos just for memory sake. (failed to post from phone, may not have the images)
